“He has been going around the block for a long time, with a lot of fights on his resume. Certainly not is he an old man but he has been in the sport for a long time and had some heavy fights. I too have faced intense battles and I know they put miles on the clock. He has been in a lot more of those than me.”

But the suspicion remains that Parker will be too veteran, and too technically proficient, for his opponent. He is expected to triumph a hard-fought contest with the confidence that he is the prime candidate for the champion Usyk – currently the top heavyweight globally by a significant margin.
