Passionate followers of Ariana Grande are demanding that a man who breached a barricade and touched the actress during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be detained or removed from Singapore.

A viral footage reveals the individual from Australia bypassing camera operators and charging at Grande while the performers walked down a yellow carpet accompanied by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being arrested", though court documents revealed that he was due to attend court on the following morning. It is unknown if he was charged.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a performance. His Instagram feed features videos of him interrupting other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last December.

"Steps should be implemented enforced against him as this is obviously a punishable act," wrote an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user wrote.

Fans Express Concern Over Ariana's Well-being

Several fans accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had revealed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said another comment on Instagram.

Several supporters also faulted security officers at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals demanded digital services to remove Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In clips shared widely, Grande seemed surprised when she was approached by the intruder. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has not commented on the event, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.

Many of attendees had congregated in a sea of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including some who had queued for as long as many hours before it commenced.

The motion picture, to be premiered on 21 November, is the follow-up of a two-part version of the acclaimed theatrical musical Wicked, which centers on the surprising relationship between two very different witches.

The show itself is a derivative of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of 2024 in the UK, and scored a dozen Oscar nominations, securing two for outstanding attire and production design.
